Ok im trying to setup my own mission so anyway i got some american ships some tankers and cargos and setup some zeros and vals with loadouts etc put down the waypoints and stuff. But the aircraft simply refuse to attack they just fly over the target and carry on like they arnt even there.
Whats going on what am i doing wrong? :hmm: |

Tried setting the aircraft to elite and they still dont engage, im gonna look at the some of the dev missions to see what speed and att they set the aircraft at, as i read somewhere that this could be a factor in which they decide to attack or just fly past and not engage.

i think the key is the altitude they are at. too high and they dont "alert" to enemy ships so they can fly right by you no matter how you set things like elite status and direction (because sunshine reflection reduces how easy they see you)
think of it like 4 equal parts that combine to make it work altitude = 25% direction = 25% skill level = 25% random response = 25% keeping this in mind you can see why we see such different results sometimes. i have found if planes are too high or too low they just dont see the enemy so you need to find the sweet spot where you get the best results. sadly i never took the time to do this myself because i havent done very many missions with planes. |
