Where's the replacements???

I think I get 2-3 officers, 2 guys at rank 10 and maybe one at rank 7 and one at rank 4 and the rest are at rank one.

I'm preety sure that it's RFB changing the crew loadout to simulate a more realistic crew. You wouldn't be assigned the Navy's most elite right out of the academy, too much risk.

I could be wrong, but I haven't used RFB in a long time, so excuse me if I'm wrong.

the system on my monitor now cost nothing in renoun to hire anyone. the system that I am seeking cost up tp 2500 renoun for officers. which am I looking at and if not 1.5, why not ???
it says rfb 1.5 when loading

Hi Buddha

Fincuan answered you on the very first reply! RFB changed the crew recruitment system - you no longer need renown to hire them, but there are far fewer to choose from. There is a much bigger difference between officers/po's and ratings now. Ratings have very few skill points and Officers/po's have the normal amounts. Makes it far more realistic in my opinion.

If you don't like it, remove RFB.

Part of this is RFB, while others are a change with 1.5. With the 1.5 add-on, you can now only "recruit" new sailors at their lowest rank (i.e., Apprentice Seaman, PO Third Class, CPO, and Ensign). What we've done with RFB, then, is to remove the renown cost for adding these crewmen to your boat.
