USLc: "Most of this PC garbage serves only to widen the gaps between cultures and races, rather than narrow it. I call it the "Catholic Schoolgirl phenomenon" (sry Catholics, no offense. Please let me know if I am out of place.) The more you make natural tendencies of people taboo or try to control their lifestyles the more impassioned and contrary they become, despite what you may see them doing under scrutiny of others."

Thats called: Registered Democrat

Who is? The people trying to make natural tendencies taboo, or the people becoming impassioned or contrary because of it? I'd call the first group Republicans, and the second Libertarians.

Nice hit. Yes, we Libertarians are contrary to almost everything.
But get involved with a Catholic-schooled girl and you'll see what I mean.

I was only commenting on the "Registered Democrat" point, not your comparisons. I'm not a member of any party, and have been accused of being any and all of the above, depending on which of my views are being espoused at the moment.

And yes, religious training makes girls horny. I know this from experience.

I guess I need to put a laughing icon or such because I tend to forget that sarcasm does not lend well to this medium. It was more of a commentary towards "PC" then the CSGP. But since you bring it up SS: natural tendencies of people, is it in the biological sense or the created sense in concepts such as laws, mores, morality? Taking it to the basest nature, homo sapien sapien is a primate, that is highly adaptable to it's environment. In that sense, procreation can be considered a natural tendency. Yet, "pro choice" a banner issue the Democratic party flies rather proudly is contrary to procreation.

Darwin was chastised for his theory of Evolution which posited a very plausible explanation of how things came into being. National health care and welfare, which is another banner issue for the democrats flies in the face of nature: survival of the fittest.

And Libertarians argue just for argument's sake.

Neither side is right. But that is what happens when we forget that though homo sapien sapien is highly evolved and can use reasoning, they are still animals....

True, but on the other hand it could be argued that the Republican party tries to ban, or at least limit, any natural function that they deem "immoral".

I completely agree, but for entirely different reasons. But we risk wandering from the topic, so I'll leave it for now.

Do not!

SS, you make me laugh, in the good sense! Anytime you would like to take up the issues, I'll gladly be there
