I only heard about it by accident 2 years after the release, and I've read a review saying that the publisher messed up and "forgot" to send test copies to PC magazines etc. Shame since good turn based tactical games are pretty much a rarity on PC.

My two-man sniper team got a nasty surprise when a British soldier crept up on them. The dead sniper was on the way down the stairs to relocate when he got half a smg-mag in the torso. He flew up and broke the railing! How great is that?



Across the street the rest of the team extract the Allied Intelligence Officer, after literally blasting their way in:


Team leader Willi avenges the dead scout/sniper Gunar, and carries the other sniper Klaus (who also got shot - but only badly wounded - by the sneaky British soldier in the stairs) to the extraction point:


On to the next one! This time we are gathering documents, with new boy Mike prone to the left:

Btw, the models and animations are really good, and if someone (DOWLY!:rotfl could make the grass and tree textures more high res the game would look quite crisp.

Silent storm is indeed awesome, Gods I bet it would be great multiplayer.
