I just stumbled over the same prob - last night i prepared an attack on a british torpedoboat, saved the game and went to bed - loaded the saved game 10 min ago, sink the target at periscopedepth, goto surface and check the weaponsscreen, no reloading in progress, just preperationpopupmsg by hovering with pointer over it - goto periscopedepth again - hit silentrunning - supend silentrunning - voila, :p loading in progress
seems the saving with an open tube cause it but thats a wild guess |

If that is the case.....your asking for all kinds of trouble. As for an 'open tube' the torpedo doors close automatically after the torpedo is ejected from the tube. |

I try to avoid it but it gets frustrating when you spend so much time making a submerged approach and the game crashes on you and you have to start over. Once I made a submerged approach, hit my target, and just after I surfaced to watch his death throes.....CTD. ![]() I hadn't saved in a while and had to redo the approach. Crashes don't happen very often but they occasionally do, so I try to save fairly often, even when submerged. |

You know, I did save while submerged. Always have. If I spend two hours making an approach and get called away because my step-son wants me to watch him do this or that, I'm not going to lose those two hours; I'll save and take my chances. The only thing I've ever noticed that's a problem (or at least, use to be) was that if you saved after a successful attack, but before your target sank, you might not get credit for the sinking. Don't know if that's still the case.
I'm travelling for business right now, but when I'm home again, I'll try the suggestion of going to silent running and off again. Thanks! ![]()

Hi Bsalyers, just a question: are you using the new SH3 Commander??
If so, today i had the same problem after a DC attack on the bow quartier. I had all four torpedo tubes destroyed, but ANY damage to stern compartment. BUT, the 5th torpedo tube wasn't able to reload anymore in stern tube, iven if i had NOT damage reports there!! So, if you have SH3commander, watch at the option "model effect" in SH3 menu and see if Malfuncions is turned on! bye! |

This bugs happens sometimes, its a bug if you are sailing for silent running or the opposite. Just put for silent mod and then take it off. It should work
