I'm sure it does. There are plenty of people this side of the pond that agree with what he had to say (most of it at least)! He was a pretty smart individual, and I do miss his comments.

I would say he was every bit as smart as you Subman.

Perhaps thats something we can agree upon.

You know, since I added Subman to my ignore list I've really enjoyed his threads, I have to read through several posts until I've found enough quotes to confirm I'd never have read it anyway

Nobody here thinks that a monkey is an equal to a human being. Darwin drones? I'm also a Newton drone. I believe in all sorts of wacky theories.

The US legal system considers a corporation, a company or a trust a "person" so why not give it to the chimp :rotfl:

Lets just finish degnerateing the word "person" already if the courts will never fix it again

I understand all this stuff is too complicated for you, and we wouldn't want you hurting your brain or anything, so yes, by all means, block me!

PS. This thread has been quite entertaining! I don't think I've laughed like this at any thread lately! Too funny!

My take on this entertaining thread:

OMG! OMG! People want to make chimps=humans. Daaaaamn you Darwin!

- But these people are obviously crazy. Believing Darwin's theory doesn't mean that chimps=humans.

Don't you see! People are using Darwin to forward their agenda for chimp equality. The dark ages are coming back.

- But again, they are not. This is a bunch of crazies. Darwin or his followers do not advocate any sort of human-chimp equality.

If you love chimps so much, why don't you marry one!

Hmmm. I could actually see a case made for the 'sentience' of great apes, considering their intelligence and their ability to learn, if taught, non-verbal human languages.

They're obviously not human of course, but it's a fun question: Are they 'aware' enough that rights normally reserved for humans might be extended to them?
