With Warspite installed is it correct that the ID manual entry is simply "BBWarspite"?

It's a little jarring when no other ships use this prefix and especially since (judging by the cfg file) the Warspite can also be spawned as the other ships of the QE class?
How could I go about rewriting the recognition manual entry to state "Queen Elizabeth Class" (or "HMS Warspite") rather than "BBWarspite"?

Only if the ship not added to EnglishNames cfg ( or whatever language you are using )

\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Sea

BBWarspite=HMS Warspite
Or
BBWarspite=Queen Elizabeth Class

Is the BB Warspite a reworked Revenge Class BB or a new Model altogether?

Reworked Revenge, clearly, the hull il really similar, like the funnel.
Btw there are a lot of differences between the 2 models
