Default Is It Even Possible?

Let me first say, that I am really enjoying OM v2.0! Thank you Lurker The thing that always bugged me since SH3, and I think I even started a thread about this in the past (mabey on the UBI Forum:hmm, is the fact that there is no winter gear modeled for the watchcrew during winter months. I personally find it a slight immersion killer to see my watchcrew, in the middle of December/ january wearing clothing for midsummer. I'm not complaining, just makeing an observation, and wondering if now with the advances of SH4, and modders already makeing uniform mods for this sim, if it is even possible to model winter gear for the crewmen on deck. Obviously, this would only effect OM, Drumbeat campaign. So how about it? Could it even be done?

Dang, and here I was about to make a comment about weather in the Pacific. Ruin all my fun why doncha?

Did they have really cold weather gear? I guess they would. You're right, it might be nice to see them in heavy furry parkas and caps.

I don't think it was furry parkas Steve:rotfl: . Seriously though, if you watched Das Boot, and who hasn't, what they did wear, was what looked to be heavy leather jackets, and gloves. I also saw footage of U Boat crews on patrol in far Northern zones (Mermansk mabey) during winter months, with the men wearing their raingear caked in ice

I would think the US Boats must have used winter gear in the waters of the Aleutians and even nothern Japan
