Radar is NOT available until approximately 1942 or 1943. And even then it's not worth using. In clear weather, lookouts can spot ships farther away than radar. In nasty weather, the waves had a terrible effect on its use. Plus, your use of radar will give you away to your enemies. The Germans were way behind the British in development of radar.

Radar detection (the Biscay Cross) will be available before radar. This will be worth having! It is a must have!

and besides the bloody thing goes off all the time knocking you out of t/c....when in fact the enemy dd or escort hasn't detected you!! its miles away.....i wont be installing it when it becomes available
