Thats what i call excelent service!! Thank you and Bigboywooly!!

There is one question left. I wonder if these great ships (both AA and trawler) will appear randomly without integration like Bigboy did? The trawler has a class 0 and appear in museum under warships. I tried to rename them to 104, like the other fishing vessels but, after that, 2 big crates appeart on the boat. Did i made something wrong?

Kind regards an many thanks

The mod has now been updated - thanks for the heads-up A6. The cargo nodes have been disabled (so no tanks or crates), a bad paint scheme has been fixed, and the unit class has been changed to 104. There is also a fish-less version available.

Default Trawlers as warships

Yes, version 1.1 takes the new trawlers out of the Royal Navy and places them in the merchant fleet. Thanks.

Also, on the subject of trawlers, this excerpt from a Wikipedia article on the Faroe Islands and WWII suggests another possible type of trawler that could be included in SHIII, assuming adding another nationality, Faroe Islands, is not a big problem:

"During the war, Faroese ships had to hoist the Faroese flag and paint FAROES / FØROYAR on the sides thus allowing the British Royal Navy to identify them as "friendly"."

A picture of such a trawler is below.

We did toy with the idea of adding the Faroes in GWX 2.0 but time was tight
New entries have to be made in the flag and flags dats
New rec manual cover and additional scripting

Great work as usual IABL

Three have sails to assist their engines
I *think* that the real reason for those small sails is not to aid the engines, but instead to improve the stability of the ship in rough weather, as they act like an air-brake, reducing the rolling. That's at least how they are used in the Mediterranean and in some dutch design boats I know. :hmm:

Default Faroe Islands

BBW,

Thanks for the feedback on adding nationalities -- that there is more work involved with such a change than might be immediately apparent.
