Hmmm...expanding on my point above, I guess I could write a separate mid-patrol editor that players could use during the patrol and then when finished they could save and then import via this editor.

That way players who take hand written notes will be happy with what they have now, but players who prefer to record notes electronically while they play (via alt-tabbing) will benefit from being able to quickly import them directly into the patrol log via this editor.

Perhaps just a text file in format

Code:

yyyymmdd,hhmm,eventstring1
yyyymmdd,hhmm,eventstring2
etc

Means that players won't even need a special tool to do it if they don't want to - just Notepad and some discipline would be sufficient. Heck, even Excel or any spreadsheet that saves to csv or tab limited format would work fine; I won't even need to write a specific tool then (bonus

But I'll only consider an import function if enough players want it...
