I see a bad idea here. I see erosion of people civil rights in each country. Because bigger military powers have bigger muscle to flex in smaller foreign lands and annex certain laws that would normally protect locals.
I know governments abuse powers and when they pass laws in secret well no citizen will benefit from it. Only select elitist interest groups will gain from lucrative close door dealings. ![]() ![]() |

I think the significance of this could well be overstated.
Quite a few countries have US and UK forces stationed in them. Take Germany as an example. Largely the US has never needed measures like this and I'm sure Canadian or US troops would only ever cross the border in extremis. Most likely as someone posted in the case of a natural disaster or the like.
