Yea I noticed that too. A few times I've sunk a charging DD/DE with a steam torp and they kept on coming right at me. You would think, especially if they were tracking me, that the hydrophone operator would hear the torpedo and the Captain would zigzag or something, or if nothing else, SEE the torpedo coming. I'm sure IRL Destroyers didn't present such easy targets when charging at a uboat that was at PD.
I believe, as stated by someone else on the boards, that it's just the way the AI is coded in the game. |

Hmm. Yes, why shouldn´t they hear it? I bet the whine of a torpedo would make one hell of a show in the sonarman´s cabin on any DD
