I am always amazed when I read VC citations at what people can do without hesitation , even when they know there's a very good chance their going to die ,they still put their mate's lives infront of their own, Ive got nothing but the utmost respect for any VC winner.
On a happy note , a few months back someone broke into a military museum in new zealand and stole a collection of medals including 9 VC's , Kiwi police announced yesterday that they have recovered the collection http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599...-38196,00.html |
