I get this "NULL" sector to patrol when:
I add/remove a mod (I am at my homebase atm) I refuel and rearm at a friendly port or ship (e.g. Bessel at Vigo ... "das ist in Spanien" ![]() What does it mean? Simply spoken: you do not get a sector to patrol so you can go hunting freely but also can't get the 500+200 renown from a patrol. To avoid this (and for all the other specials) I use Sh3 Commander and set the Patrol Sector to my favourite: BF17 |

Just use SH3 Commander and set your own patrol grid.
The renown for returning to base doesn't work anyway....never has AFAIK ![]() |

I have never tried SH3 Commander. How come everyone seems to be so into it? What advantages does it give you?
I guess I will just have to go into the files -- I think it's the flotilla .cfg-- and change the patrol grid assignments myself. It would probably make sense to just copy the patrol grids for a type IXB from 1939-1943, since it has fairly similar range to a type XXI, right? Any other advice would be appreciated! Oh, and btw, when I mentioned getting a type IXD2 in 1939, I meant after some serious editing to the basic .cfg files LOL! ![]() |
