No this is new campaign I started a few weeks ago when I got GWX2.0. I did take a backup of my old sh3 directory in my documents before deleting it. Then I moved one of my old careers to the new one created when I installed SH3 again. But I never tried to load one of those. So I have 3 profiles now, the old one from GWX1.3 (never used in 2.0), the default "player" used once in a single mission, and my new GWX2.0 campaign.

Tried that, but it didn't make a difference. Thanks for trying to help though. When I think about it I used something called SH3weather a while ago. I'm not even sure I ran the application, maybe once and then I unistalled it. Could that mess with campaign files?

Open each of the campaign files Lnd\Rnd and Scr In data\Campaigns\Campaign Use Notepad Copy and paste the text below over the top of whats in there already then save Fog=1 FogRand=1 Clouds=1 CloudsRand=1 Precip=1 PrecipRand=1 WindHeading=0 WindSpeed=4.000000 WindRand=1 WeatherRndInterval=4 SeaType=0 Briefing= All 3 mis files need to read the same - MAKE SURE NO TRAILING SPACES AFTER YOU HAVE PASTED Happens a lot when copying from the web One other thing you can try if that doesnt work is to delete the main.cfg from the SH3 folder in my documents You will need to reset languages etc again on restarting the game but has been known for that file to be corrupted on save before |

I'll transpose what I wrote in another thread:
"...I was on a rather successful patrol and did several (read: five) saves along the way while transiting to my patrol zone. I exited the game and when I tried to load my saves, I was greeted with a crash just as the "not so long ago" screen came up. I tried approximately 6-8 times per save, working my way back after giving up on each level until the only save I was able to recover was the "in port before patrol" one. It's frustrating enough to make me want to roll back to an earlier GWX just so I can play a game and have confidence in re-loading it later. For what it's worth, this was strictly with SH3 1.4b with GWX 2 overtop and no other mods. I've since applied other mods like OLC GUI and they have seemingly no effect on how a save game is loaded. Help!" |
