Oh, I realize it is just a game. But there have been psyc evals, that have concluded that people that enact horrible acts, even in a gaming environment, are actually prone to doing similar acts in actual life. How true this is I am not sure.

Speaking personally I have problems playing GTA (grand theft auto) due to the truly violent nature of that game. I have an absolute ball driving the vehicles like a mad man, or rolling through the cities in the M1 abrams you can get with a cheat code. But the actual game I detest. Hell they have the fire extinguisher be a leathal vapor!! It's irritating as hell I know, but deadly (probably in large doses). It was disturbing watching the thrill my roomate's kids got out of playing GTA and shooting people and stuff. I essentially said to my roomates that that is not cool.

I just have an issue with taking pleasure in watching simulated incocents suffering horrific deaths, let alone actual.

It's bad enought you blew their simulated boat out of the water, with your simulated torpedo
