Sounds pretty cool. Other than the menu, the U-Boot add-on will probably use the same sound, 2D map, 3D environment, and ship model files as the current game. Obviously, it would have it's own gauges, skins, etc.
On the other hand, I haven't played my copy of SH3 in a long time.
