I think there must be some problem with some people's setups because I've taken boats out to test this quite a few times and it's always worked fine for me when I've set my boat up just within the 100 mile radius and just waited. There may be some missions that demand a smaller radius - I don't know. All I know is that I've completed missions like this well beyond 50 miles from the target.

Could it be that you have your distances measured in kilometers? Not that that should make any difference, but who knows what bugs could creep in when they allow such options?

Oddly I am having this problem today too.

I am within a twenty five mile circle of my mark
I have been on station five days
I have sunk three ships for 22000 tons

I can not get mission complete

I am ready to resort to hacking my savegame
before I do anylast minute suggestions?

Increase your radius by 25nm , make sure you patrol that entire area. Then go watch this: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=111445

You think? I thought the Parameter was dont leave the area
or you have to restart so patrolling the twenty five mile
circle in the middle ground should have been fine I thought.

what the hey at this point I will try anything I have a cold
beer and a warm nurse waiting for me back at the Royal Hawaiian.

I am wondering if RFB has a different radius, I know I have had success with Trigger with the above

I used 50 nm (so far only had 1 patrol, just finished my first career patrol) and it worked. Using TM 1.7.4
