Welcome aboard! There is some weird bug or maybe not a bug that sinks your sub for no good reason. I had this happen to me twice. Tooling along around or inside a convoy and you sink for no reason other than you are under the water. Both times I did have small damage. One thing that does happen is your hull, if damaged, will loose more strenght the deeper you go. As a result, it can and often sinks your sub. What I do if damaged and high tail it out of there. I go lick my wounds and do the end round.

the strange thing is, the hull is not damaged... I think I will try again and not go below 30 metres to avoid going down again... I hope it works
Thanks

Default Its called: Train wreck

When I first saw SH4 hit the shelves and as I watched forums, I counted nearly 100 screw ups being reported in the game. It was a train wreck.

Was is key , and even that was to harsh. Alot of the problems were user\hardware related. The game is very playable now and only getting better

I finished my patrol and I found out it happend if I went down below 50 metres, so I stayed around periscope depth. There wasn't any problem then. I really like the game and I think it is really good playable. It was only weird I couldn't find any signs of damage (nog from the outside as on the damagepanel...). Now I have a new submarine, so my problem is solved

@wave

I think the only possibly valid complaint with the game not running is with Windows Vista 64 bit edition. Other than that, complaints are overwhelmingly software conflicts or inadequate hardware. Those people with constructive attitudes who have reported problems have found solutions here at SUBSIM. Trollers are made to walk the plank.

crasy,

When you next find yourself in a shootout, take a look at the hull damage percent in the upper left corner of the damage control screen. It's not on the hull display like it was in SH3. This is the most likely reason you could only submerge to a shallow depth.
