Default No depthcharges...

Hi again...

I´m out doing career in my S-sub again in the mid of 1942. On a mission, photoing Jap. carriers, I couldn´t refuse to put 4 fishes in one of them. Heading out to deeper water at flank speed I was caught up by at least three pinging destroyers. However, they seemed to loose track of me very easy. I was passing one of this thermal layer on my way down. All of a sudden they stopped chasing me, no depthcharges was dropped. They also went over the sub in shallow waters, me at periscopdepth. No depthcharges there either. Is something wrong here???

Me using RFB, and very hard settings in the career.

Same experience I had until I installed TM. Now the destroyers are very difficult and can spot a periscope VERY easily. After TM I dont mess around with sub hunters anymore lol

Really. I'm patroling in version 1.2, no mods. Thanks for the heads up. I'm pretty stingey with exposing my scope and the DDs seam to get on me after I loose some fish and / or damage starts to occur to what they are escorting. I have noticed there is a certain point when they quit dumping the depth charges on me. Are they out of ordinance? Can't hear me, but know I'm sneaking away at low speed? It's almost like they're thinking my juice is low and they're waiting for me to surface. V/R. CL

Interestingly, in real life it was not uncommon for Japanese ASW ships to make a pass or two with depth charges and then move on.

You deffinately need to get up to 1.4 charlie. Major fixes in the game in many areas especially the AI and how the model dimentions and boyancy are handled by the AI and game logic. Major torp fixes also. I wouldn't go back to 1.2 if you paid me.
