1. Never seen a problem with ships not showing up on the map that are there to be seen.:hmm:

2. This is a SHII stock bug. If you save and exit too close to ANY port which contains ships, they will lose their waypoints and there is a likelyhood that when you reload that save, they may ground themselves or otherwise behave erratically.

3. Unlucky. It may have been that you took your boat to the edge of being able to see the other ship and it may have slipped out of visual range for a short period of time in which case you may lose the ownership of the kill and therefore any renown associated with it.

2) I never saved within 200km of Wilhelmshaven. I did do several saves around Ireland and Scapa Flow, and one in the North Sea just before I entered the passage south of Scapa Flow. But, when I returned at patrol end, one of the freighters in dock was half in the dock, half stuck in dryland. It was also on fire.

Hi!

@Tarjak: I'm not so sure: it sounds like the freighter he saw started in the dock and should have therefore been stationary during his patrol.

@SleazeyWombat: Do you remember which freighter (or what kind of freighter) and/or its approximate location in the harbor?

Thanks!

Pablo
