More to the point... that makes stock game look good! Imagine what he would do with GWX 2.0 :hmm:

Default Wow

Brilliant work Tex, it must have taken a lot of time, frustration and effort and the result is fantastic.

I particularly liked the way you planned the shots and sequences and my favorite part was the surface attack in part two; The way that came together was perfect! Also the depth charge scenes were incredibly well done!

Great job and a pleasure to watch.

Not bad. Some of the camera angles are very good indeed. Synched up nice with the main soundtrack, too.

so, when the captain was viewed inside the sub raising the periscope it would be from the film, but when it switched to his view outside the scope reticle it would be from SH3. Also, depth charge sequences would be from the game, while interior sequences would be from the movie.

in essence this would replace all of the exterior shots in the film with footage exclusively from SH3 creating a sort of hybrid game/movie.

in the end i decided that the project required more time and attention than i have to dedicate to such an undertaking and the project was abandoned.

As someone who has made his fair share of films be it SH3 related or simply for my own ammusement i can appreciate all of the "takes" and man hours required to put something like this together.

for example, i would imagine you went through several hours worth of convoy attacks in the game just to get the desired 3 minutes worth of footage... this is even more difficult when one considers the syncing of the film's spoken dialogue to the events "filmed" within the game.

nice work, this will go to three pages long by the end of the day tomorrow i'd be willing to bet.
Yea this was a tough project for sure, my toughest so far.. The hardest thing was getting decent shots outside the sub while being depth charged. Since there is no replay it all had to be filmed in real time so it meant alot of motoring around underwater at flank speed basically saying.. "here I am destroyers, pleease come depth charge me!".. lol! Anyway, in the end I could still nit pick the video apart, but with every one I make I learn something new. Thanks again for your comments Golden Rivet.

PS: Are you on You Tube? You mentioned you made films too, where are they?
