What...it's not like you tried to pick him up, is it? But if you did, hey, at least you know he's married now...

Back on topic ..... here is a one minute video on what and how HP is going to market it. Saw some pictures of it. It is about 14" inches in diameter, yea a round computer box, about 9 inches tall. Only Ports on it are power, network card 1-gig, and 6 USB ports. That's it. no video, keyboard, or mouse ports. The video you are watching resides on my Home Server.

Well, I got the web site done on our Windows Home Server - that is WHY I am not around too much and gaming in SH3 and/or SH4 is on hold. (Oops forget Shells of Fury, too. I am working my way through the training missions - looks like a real FUN game.)

Here it is:
www.LearnABit.net

Not bad for my FIRST try, ever, in my life! And, not bad for an old girl of 54? And it was so easy once I understood how all the "things" interact.

I welcome your comments and/or criticism from anyone. Either way - good or bad, your comments will help me in the long run.

Thanks for looking at it, and Thank You for your time, too!

I have 21 customers out of a pool of 1,000+ signed up to get a Windows Home Server - things are starting to look good after a 2 year slump of going down the drain (our business).

p.s.:
I can use some help getting one of those counters to work on how many people visited the site. I have spent hours trying to get it to work and have gotten NO WHERE.

Just figured out something REAL COOL you can do with the Windows Home Server using the Whiist add-in. Whiist is a Windows Home Server Add-In that allows you to create and manage UNLIMITED websites on your WHS - Windows Home Server.

So I created one called "photos" in a folder called websites. Copied and pasted the three folders I wanted to share with you.
No more b.s. posts of " " and all that jazz. I just give YOU this link:

http://learnabit.homeserver.com/photos

And you get to look at each picture. This is going to be a life saver of no more emails with photo attachment b.s. to friends/family.

- Kitchen Roof Leak
Photos of me riping apart our kitchen ceiling to remove the damaged drywall from a BAD roof leak. Did this in August, 2007. Took a week on and off.

- Laundry Room Project
Had the water pipe that goes through this room that feeds the rear yard outside water faucet freeze and burst last winter. Took a hammer and busted open the wall to fix the pipe and shutoff. Fixed the pipe and replaced the "so called" frost free shut off valve. Then said - to hell with and junked the entire room - EVERYTHING - even the appliances. If you look hard enough, you can see the CRAPPY JOB I did on those shut off valves up in the 1st floor rafters. I scorched them pretty good with the torch.

-Woodhaven
This is my entire collection of photos of my get-away-place on a lake about 82 miles west of the house.

Windows Home Server has major problems right now. Carefull what you do with it, you can corrupt it rather easiliy I hear right now. Microsoft is aware of the problem and should have a major patch out for it soon.
