Crazy Jack locked up in a hotel all winter with his wife, son, and a suck-up bartender that isn't really there. What could possibly go wrong?

The thin red line.

Why these movies on your list, Stealth hunter? Why not the many others? Anything special you are about?

Glad to see someone else rates The Beast of War (aka The Beast), absolutely great movie, especially if you like tanks.

Yeah, I was wondering where Red October was, too.
Great popcorn movie.

You know, every-so-often, AMC channel drags out the same war movies, plays them to death, but they never seem to add in Run Silent, Run Deep as well.

Star Wars was missing from the list as well. Saw the original back in 1977 about 30+ times (I have it memorized, so I don't need to pop in the DVD, I just play it in my head )

Shawshank Redemption

From the available choices, I would go with the Shawshank Redemption (the best Stephen King movie adaptation I have ever seen). My favorite movie is actually Silent Hill, but it is not on the list, of course.

The Thin Red Line by far from looking at your list. I have only seen it once many years ago and it touched me so powerfully. Simply unforgetable.
