(Sorry if this has been covered, but I'm working ... er at work ... and don't have time to read all the forum ...)
Seems lately that some folks have been having problems with not finishing missions based on where they were headed for home port. Is there a way the data base can be querried and this information posted on the technical page of the reports tab? (hope I'm saying this right ...) You know, the screens that comes up with all the stats on your sub, damage, crew, and the like. There is a nice area on those screens just under the sub name and number. If someone could mod these to read: Based in: And the the game querry location is put in a line behind that? Or maybe on the clipboard? Just a couple ideas. Have a nice one!

Okay ... 50 views and I guess it's not doable or important.

When your old base is unusable and you need to go to a new one you do get a radio message about it that was implimented in the 1.3 patch. In my Airbase nav mod I left the original message then added another one on top of it to make sure people under stood where to go.
But zoom out and look at the NAV map. If you are in the ASIATIC fleet you start off at LUZON when that Big blue anchor disapears you go to the JAVA or SURABAYA base. When that big blue anchor disapears you go to the FREEMANTLE sub base in Australia. The big blue anchor's on the nav map are the actual sub bases. The anchor's with the blue stripe's are Sub tender's where you can refuel and rearm torpedo's and gun round's. So just pay attention to your radio messages and look at the NAV map and you can easily see where to go. |

Yeah I know Leo ... I just thought it'd be a cool idea ...
And the only reason I brought it up was because of what happened on my recent mission. I was previously stationed in Pearl, and requested a transfer to Fremantle. Took the mission from Fremantle and when I went back to what I thought was home base, nothing doing. The stupid game sent me back to Pearl, so I spent a good 3 weeks longer at sea than I had intended. As I said ... just thought it'd be a neat idea, espeically if a player isn't fast enough to catch the radio message while their playing. (Like me ... ) I don't know that I got the message I never saw one in the log when I went back through it. Thanks any how! ![]()

I havn't figured out how to get a radio message that say's the change. I think it might need to be set up in the Campaign file's or the Flotila's where it has to inform the player of a base change in cases like that. Actualy looking at the Flotila file I think there is a better possability for a message to be set up in there seeing there are option's for desk asignment's or transfer's when a flotila is disbanded. Maybe a message can be set up in there depending on your choces made. |
