My TV is 12 years old, 4:3, 55 cm, 30W Stereo, headphone possible, good bass and nice picture. what else could i want? Most CD TV I see in warehouses look terribly bad in picture quality. Having asked about what kind of signal they were receiving, salesmen tuned them to what they said is the new standard - and still it was looking like pancake before baking. My next TV will be a conventional one again. that is the good news. the bad news is that these are already difficult to find if you want 16:9, but no mega-sized XXL-60 kg monster.

What the life expectancy of LCD TV will be, still remains to be seen, many already say they do not live as long as the old TVs. And I have no intention to buy a new TV for 1.500 bucks every four years.

So, when i do not get a medium sized 16:9 anymore, I probably would prefer to get a normal 4:3 with 55cm and stereo sound again. And then I am happy with all this old, ancient, archaic mega-out technology again. Needing to deal with the flood of new tech standards and connectors and signal formats is not fun, but consumer terror. Liufe can be so easy and laid-back without such needless complications.

And so very cheap!
