Go for it! I really like the RFB mod and would dearly like to see "play nice" with some of the other great mods available...

Glad to see you found WinMerge, it's a life-saver and really easy to use...

I might suggest making all the campaign related stuff a separate file (like TMs base vs graphics mods).

Meaning the UPCData/UPCCampaignData directory and Campaigns directory stuff.

It would allow anyone to drop a campaign on top. You could include the Sea and Roster folders in there, too.

then you have a RFB version X.X Stock Campaign mod, and readme says not to bother with turning it on if you use another campaign.

Great idea! Will start thinking about the different options for doing this. Thanks for the input.

Hi folks.

Just a quick note 'cos I have a MASSIVE headache. SWDW has my go-ahead to take over work on RFB. Actually I was surprised that he got questioned on it because I've always taken the stance that RFB is a community mod and as such anyone has full liberty to work on it and improve it as long as they keep a note of the contributors in the readme file (and preferably also in the game credits file if they remember to do so).

Anyway, I'd like to see RFB (in whatever form) taken over by the community and improved upon. SWDW has taken up the challenge so hopefully we'll see more and better mods in SH4's future. The more mods we get, the more choice we get, and that has to be a good thing.

Hey Beery! We have not seen you in a while and thought it better to ask than just take. I think SWDW is on to making a very large mod type package. You have contributed to the community quite a bit and should be respectfully asked to use your mod for other things. Thanks man!

Yeah, I appreciate the sentiment. I'm glad work is still being done to improve the game. I wish I hadn't burned out so soon. One day I'll have to re-install the game and get playing once more.

We miss ya Beery! I'm a longtime favorite of RFB. SWDW I think I recieved your PM asking if I used RFB and needing testers for your project. I'm sorry if I didn't reply but between work and a BIG home project, I didn't, and still don't have the time. But believe me, I'm all for your efforts! I would ask only one thing. In my current install, my main mods (on top of RFB) are: Oak Groove's Highres Instruments, LBO, and ROW ( wich I believe uses LBO, as well as NSM).

I'm sure everyone would agree, that these are "must have" mods. If you're going to make RFB into a BIG all inclusive mod, please give us the options for these. Thanks, and good luck with the project
