I have to confess I often thought about the reporter onboard U-96... so just maybe... one patrol... maybe... Would I immediately say no should it be possible?

Ehrm... :hmm: *cough*

Actually, I really want to see and feel the Atlantic once in all it's stormy glory (at night especially). I don't like flying anyway, and I experienced the North Sea and/or the Channel going nuts several times. An awesome sight

So shipping out to the US across the pond anno now would do just as well

My answer is: never! The only place war is fun for me is on a computer screen.
Yes, couldn't agree more on this.
It's the same phenomenon that makes men above 28-30 not really needed in an army- by this age your brain developes structures that lets you think about consequnces of your acts No offense, though, it's just a medical fact bur I think you could also say something about the age spread here in subsim based on this poll

Back to the subject........Having served on a Diesel/Electric Boat, and knowing the conditions...............YES, proudly I would have served my country......When you join, it's about patriotism, being young, you believe..........and you serve to the best of our ability...........If you can't handle it, then it's best to stay ashore. So many of you younger people have never had the chance to make a decision of having to go to war.....And I will always hope that you never do.......But I will always hope that if you had to make that decision that you could step forward for your country............

"We"?

No.

I threaten you with a pistol and run off with the time machine to the government. They pay me money, and I go back to 1914 to fight for the German Navy at Jutland where I can meet Captain Bolko of the SMS POMMERN (who I am related to).

back on the subject...if there is one anymore.
i would have picked the first one, which i would be out there till i meet my untimely fate along with the other 29,999 other sailors,

id prefer to experience the happy times. and be a jolly sea pirate in the one ship even god cant sink

then again, with the way ive been playing, i think the germans woulda won and i wouldnt exactly be able to type or even have a computer here now would i?

Hmm, well there's always the mental assurance that it's "kill or be killed".

Give it time, and I/he might become more attune to such manners of dealing death.
