i think that is is a ridiculous limitation.
in my las patrol i found a gato submarine surfaced , after one torpedo impact i surfaced to try to finish it with another torpedo , but when i surfaced , it fire at will against me with the gun and AA . i can´t fire my guns in rough waters but the enemy can... ![]()

Hi!
For a little historical perspective, a quote from Teddy Suhren's memoirs: "The first freighter that crossed our path was a Swede. We closed in on him on the surface, and hoisted on the periscope the signal 'Stop at once! Do not use your radio!' The Swede acted as though he hadn't noticed. To show him we meant business, we gave orders to man the 8.8cm gun on the foredeck, and approached him at half-speed. The boat rolled in a slight swell, sea state 3. When I looked over the bridge to give orders to the gun crew, I saw there was no-one on the gun. The movement of the boat had swept them away. Fortunately they were clipped with safety-harnesses and now hung suspended on ropes over the saddle tanks. The Kommandant reacted immediately and stopped the boat so that they could pull themselves back on board...One thing however we learnt from this: namely that in the Atlantic, travelling at any sort of speed, and maybe even head-on to a sea, the gun is useless. One could only just manage to stay on one's feet if the sea was completely calm."

Aye maybe so Pablo
But the SH3 weather isnt the real Atlantic weather Lowering the sea state for guns means you would never be able to use them :rotfl: Tis a compromise I suppose Wouldnt be so bad if the AI suffered due to weather too |
