Why do you think we hear not so much anymore about UFOs and the Greys in recent years? They were so much fed up that they left and instead put the nsolar system under intergalactic quarantine.

There shouldn't be any problem with fasting. Its from Dawn to Dusk right? Its always night in space. :p

I have to go with what Subman said here. Fasting is a ridiculous idea onboard a space shuttle. Slow reactions and poor concentration endangers not only the mission but the crew.

just consider the risks....

I know how I feel, when I didnt eat for 6 hour
I was starting to feel light headed, and started to create a headache.
now having this in space , is a danger for your fellow astronauts and the whole project.

A hazard to the operation, perhaps, but better than going to hell.

If it is a problem for the mission then they should either make adjustments to
compensate and if none can be made then they should ensure that no one who has to
fast is sent on such missions.

Better than going to hell maybe, but you'd probably go anyway if you took everyone on the shuttle with you.

For the benifit of those who don't click links

Quote:
Ramon will not be the first Jew in space, others who went before him include Judy Resnik, who was killed in the Challenger disaster in 1986.
Nor is Israel's first astronaut a strict practising Jew when on the ground.
But with the eyes of a nation upon as he makes this first symbolic flight, Ramon has been keen to play tribute to his religious heritage.
"As an Israeli and a Jew I asked Nasa if it would be possible to supply kosher food for my menu in space," Ramon said.
"I was surprised and overwhelmed with the effort Nasa put in to trying to accommodate my request," he added.
Among the few personal possessions he will take with him on his 16-day voyage will be mezuzahs - small cases that are hung on door frames of Jewish homes and contain inscriptions from the Bible.
He is also taking a book of Psalms which was given to him by Israel's President Moshe Katsav - the microfiche of the Bible is the size of a credit card.

There is no distinction between the desires of Colonel Ramon to abide by his faith and complete his mission and Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor desire to do exactly the same.

This thread is blatent Islamaphobia and I suspect that few people who have posted here would actually dare repeat the comments outside the anonomity of these forums.
