One cannot help but be humbled by the efforts being made to build such fine vessels .One also cannot help but feel a tremendous anticipation to meet these on the open see.My eel trigger finger is throbbing already

I would give a release date but I can't really guarantee one. Let's just say I'm going to do my best for a release by this holiday season but it is far from guaranteed. I AM pretty sure it'll be ready before Christmas of 2009 (just kidding; it should be much sooner than that). In the meantime I may release some individual ships, like the Empire Freighter.

Last night I modeled another large tanker. On this particular model I used a new technique for adding the hull text. This will eliminate the annoying flicker effect that you see on some ships when objects are placed too close together.

The design dates from circa 1935-1941, so it would have been a very modern vessel for its time. I've been wondering if people prefer old-fashioned merchant ships from around 1900-WWI or if you guys find the more modern types interesting? Personally I enjoy creating both kinds...

I understand on the released date
Was only messing with ya

Well the seas were full of all types and ages of shipping so keep mixing them up

Newer ships are well represented with all the T and C types anyway

How do the flag markings get placed on the hull? I've tried to get some civilian japanese ships in SH4 marked up like that, but I lack the skill it seems. I end up with bits of meatball all over the ship, lol.

These are really excellent... I think we should seriously try and recruit this fellow for the SH4 "add ships" project! Fame, glory and all the Japanese shipping you care to model...

I would really like to hear about your pipeline and workflow if you care to share some insights. I'm sure I could learn something!

I have question for iambecomelife:

As I right understand you can made ships from foto. So I have question - can you made 1 soviet cargo ship from 1 foto? It's 1 from 5 NKVD cargo ships and it's ship was not in navy or merchant fleet USSR.
Ship name - Sovetskaya Latvia.
