I'm more of a IX type guy, so I tend to keep my VIIB until the IXC becomes operational. Nevertheless as Penny said the Type VIIC has loads more upgrades than the VIIB so if you want to stick with a Type VII I recomend it.

VIIC's do not reduce in price like the IX's do... unless you alter your basic file yourself...:hmm:

I am in mid 40's also and using the VIIB .... If I remember right ( along with everyone's elses imput ) The VII C has 3 external torpedos for the forward compartment plus 2 externals for the stern ? ........ been a while since I last played so I have to learn all over again .......

I think it was 3 externals, two foreward and one stern. It's only been a month since I bought the IXB but I can't recall :P Actualy you might be right.

No the VIIC had 2 external reloads, one for the bow, one for the stern. The VIIC/42 is the one that has additional externals. 3 for the bow 1 for the stern. IIRC.

Now that we've weighed the pros and cons of the VIIB vs the VIIC, let us discuss the differences between the VIIC and the type IX boats (blatant topic change).

To all you IX drivers out there, what makes you choose the IX over the VIIC?
