The actual shape of the wake in SHIV is the same as in SHIII. So, a simple port from SHIV doesnt produce effect like that. Been working on the sea textures for a week or so for GWX and this is on my 'to-do' list. But you gotta wait for GWX 1.04 to see the results. :p

I thought the Wave textures were already ported from SH4 by Onelifecrisis?

True, but GWX will NOT port content from SH4 and then include it in the update.

What Dowly is talking about is 100% new/genuine textures created from scratch and solely for GWX/SH3.

And they but you will all have to wait.:rotfl:

As for the U-Boat's Wake, we'll see what developes.

This is good news. It means Dowly can make textures specifically for the GWX scene/environment, and also means he will be able to modify the Sea Foam settings in the scene to create exactly whatever effect he's looking for, whereas I was restricted to generic greyscale textures that would hopefully work in any scene. Without these constraints I imagine we'll see some very excellent waves in GWX 1.04!

Huh? Umm... yes. We are talking about wake textures here.

IIRC his were made by himself. No porting from anything.

CORRECT - I did not port the SH4 graphics, I was inspired by them as I thought I had made clear.

However I'm sure the GWX crew will come up with something better and make my mod redundant. In the meantime (and thereafter for non-GWX users) I presume my textures will suffice.
