This all was the object of a long and deep discussion long ago, and as a result the recommended modding etiquette was compiled and made sticky at the top of this forum. Reallydedpoet gave the link some posts ago and it is recommended reading

Please no more discussions about this all, we did that to be able to bury definitively the worm's can in all this stuff.
