Limiting factors

Hi guys. I was interested what the biggest factor limiting your time playing SH3 was. Please vote anonymously even if you don't comment. Thanks! p.s. Apologies - I wrote the poll from my own (male) perspective, so if you're female, substitute wife for husband, girlfriend for boyfriend etc. Can't go back to edit it now...

Limiting factors are Work and work-related activities (travelling etc) coupled with social activities. Usually I play GWX about 0.5-1 hour on week days and about 3-5 hours on week ends.

Too busy working to finish GWX.

Pretty much for the last two years... once a test objective is reached... end patrol... move on to the next issue... over and over ad-nauseum.

...and then there is my real job... and I've returned to school at night to increase my certification level to "Paramedic."

Its okay though. Playtime is coming eventually. Then I'll be like a kid splashing away in the bathtub.

Prior to July sometime it was working on GWX 1.0 through 1.04 that took my attention. Testing, not playing.

Since July it's been a combination of my wife/children, unexpected injury, and my love for music that has stopped me from even *loading* SH3 or pretty much *any* game. I'm even visiting Subsim less!

From November on, when I finish my three month's leave, it's a new job (I'll proudly say I was "head hunted" ) that will pretty much see an end to any spare time I have! To be cryptic, from then on it's "real" wargames that I'll be involved in.

I know the feeling mate. I'm spending at least 8-10 hours a day (including most weekends) in the office and with all the student supervision, teaching and administration I have less time for research and other related issues (experiments, data analysis, writing the programs to do all the calculations, writing papers and grand proposals etc). If you add all the conferences and workshops I have to attend as well I'm surprised I still have some sort of personal life. Oh well one day I will retire and I (hope) will enjoy life

There isnt enough playtime in three lifetimes so I would venture
that being mortal limits my playtime moreso than anything else
as Im missing two thirds of the game by this measure.
M:hmm:
