I think that the most popular dish on death row is Cheesburgers, fries and a coke. Not bad, really.

For me, if they're going to presume to kill me, then they gotta work for it.

1. Champagne (expensive)
2. A nice cheese and fruit plate.
3. More champagne.
4. A bottle of Chateux Lafite Roschild 1945
5. Pasta course: a nice spicy Sicilian-style pasta
6. Meat course: A nice petit mignon or prime rib. It's gotta be marbled "just so". Medium.
7. Dessert: My mum's Blackberry Cobbler
8. Nice Havana Cigars and an old port.

If you are "lucky" enough to be killed in a state that allows last meals, the cooking is done by the prison staff or inmates. Tobacco / alcohol is banned.

You get:
1. Water (not very expensive)
2. Red Cheddar and a apple
3. More water
4. A cup of water 2007
5. Spaghetti Hoops
6. Meat course: Burger
7. Dessert: My fellow inmates' first attempt at Blackberry Cobbler
8. Nice rolled up paper and an old orange juice.
9. Unnatural Death

T.I.P. not on bill.

No good food or booze? The why bother with a last meal at all?

Precisely why capital punishment should be banned.

Murderers and their ilk should be damned to spend the remainders of their miserable, wasted lives breaking rocks on Ellesmere Island, fighting Polar Bears for their dinner.

Either that, or in a blank cell with no TV, bad food and no company for the rest of their lives. Let them suffer every single *******ing day.

Nah, that stuff's disgusting, it's big where I've just moved from.
The thing is, 'up there' they find D & B rotten so there's no accounting for taste.

I've a friend (originally from Falkirk) who reckons Irn Bru and vodka are the most popular 'up there'

Wouldn't that be great, to actually punish murderers in prison . . . but someone would cry that it would be cruel and unusual punishment to have them labor in arctic temperatures, with threats of carniverous animals . . . so they'll make sure that they get nice cushioned mattrices, a TV, several hours in a well equiped excersize room, free college education (if the so choose to take the courses offered), food that would make African Refuges mouth water, etc, etc, etc.

I bet some even have their own computer and access to Wifi.

It's good for cheap vodka, completely masks the taste.

I woke up on the floor of someone's lounge the morning after a party, with a mouth full of carpet, and found a 3/4 full 2l bottle of Irn Bru. I necked most of it and then about 1/2 an hour later found out it was heavily loaded with vodka.

frankly speaking, I don't have change to have that meal should I face such an execution. You know, we don't have capital punishments in Hong Kong. (Yes, I live in Hong Kong)

But if I were sentenced to death for crimes, I would have chosen nothing, as I don't think I would have any mood for such a last meal.

Perhaps they should give me a cyanide pill to reduce my pain. I hate electrocuting as I know dying by electric shock is deadly painful. I understand that some states uses cyanides, or similiar mixtures. But hay, why let such a long needle invade your body (to deliever the final blow)?

p.s. I disagree executing prisoners, that's horrible by its nature. Killing others is no fun afterall. Capital punishments should be abolished.

Well I guess it would depend on my mood and if my execution was justified
or not.

If justified then I would ask to be able to make a batch of my own
wings (better than any restaurant)

if my execution was unjust then Id ask for Dolphin steaks in protest.

Lets not have this devolve into a debate over whether Capital Punishment is just/moral/ethical . . . this is about one's last meal. Not necessarily due to death penalty (which helps because you know when it's coming, so it helps with planning). But say you knew you were going to die, right when you entered a we'll make ANYTHING, and EVERYTHING for your restaurant/cafe/cafiteria/Dining Commons/Dining Facility (DFAC for those in the know)/diner. (Say there are kind friendly, the none tricking kind, genies behind the counter or as the cook) And say, somehow you knew you were going to die shortly (say within in the next 15 minutes) of you leaving that place (with no opertunities to eat anything else after leaving that place). What would you have them serve you, or in some cases make for you . . . basically . . . what would you order?

My last meal;
Roast pork (with the crackling nicely done)
Roast potatoes from a recipe by nigella Lawson (boiled for 4 mins shaken in the pan, then coated in semolina) cooked in the meat juices.
Broccoli Au Gratin (with red leicester) ooh! and aspargus.

Served with a couple of bottles of cheap red wine.

If I was a about to die I'd have a zabaglioni for pudding (I'm diabetic so I'd feel bad after it, on the other hand I wouldn't want go to the afterlife* with high blood sugar, so maybe not)

* yes I know there isn't an afterlife
