Yea but I think they are working a German UBOAT campaign, like another SILENT HUNTER 3.
Not a USSN sub campaign going after German battle ships. I could be wrong, but I don't think their doing what I am suggesting. |

An interesting idea. I know there were six US S-Class subs "over yonder" unofficially fighting the Germans, but IIRC correctly they were recalled just after the attack on Pearl Harbour.
Certainly S-classes were in the Carribean and Southwest Pacific though. Gatos were also used at North Africa, Biscay and in the North Atlantic for a little while. Hehe, although if you wanted to take it a bit further and really open the game, don't forget that the Brits had 6 S-Class subs on Lend Lease (although they gave one away...and then sank it). That could be interesting - replace the US uniforms with RN, start them in Britain, and you have a whole new subsim. Ambitious, but I'm sure it could be done if the interest was there. |
