You removed the sensor.dat from the TM directory, right? Not from the game?

Dunno what happens if deleted from the game. If you rtemove it from TM, then it doesn't overwrite the default, and so it should use the default file.

While im not positive, ive always thought weird things can happen when you adjust the AI on a saved game with an enemy unit present. Either that or you sank the lead ship in a convoy, and the escort didnt know what to do after that (old bug that should be resolved in patch 1.3). Offhand id say just press on, and see if it happends again. Probably a fluke incident.

Always start a new career when I add a Mod.
Nope was the middle 1.
I which...

Same thing happened last night but then with 1 DD's & a sub-chaser patrolling of the coast of Honshu.. after they'd lost me they just sat there. (stopped looking after 2Hrs)

Going to test this a bit more and see what happens when I take the SIM.CFG out first and leaving the Sensor.DAT in place. (out of TM)
By doing so I'm hoping to get some other kind of weirdness in game.

Going to take some time though as I don't often find a convoy... (Might even get the Pull-down map Mod to find the shipping lanes to speed things up a bit).

I took both files out of TM reinstalled it and restarted a career.
Found myself 2 DD's this time, told my crew to make as much noise as possible by banging the Walls with hammers (which almost resulted in a mutiny but ey)..
Well they noticed me and behold... after 4Hrs (game time, 1Hrs real time) they lost me and continued on their course.

Question being:
Quote:
Could it be that the sensor.dat is somehow linked / connected to the SIM.CFG and removing the one is causing the other to not work properly?
Answer: (At least for me it is.)
By only taking the sensor.DAT out of the game the euhm... 'link??' between the two files (if you can call it that) will no longer work and the escort vessels (IE DD's, sub hunters and such) will stop altogether after they loose you.
