Threaded Optimization in the Nvida driver is/works only for OpenGL applications, SHIV is a DirectX app.
You are sure of this ?

Look here : http://www.tweakguides.com/NVFORCE_6.html

@ Jmack --> I have no stutering in SH4, so i have no result on my rig to give you But why not try ? this is safe ..

Edit : I can confirm this : Turning off the "threaded optimisations" can help with some stuttering and some games/appl.

I made some test this morning ; I ran 3dMark2001 and saw some kind of little stuttering, very little though .. I had some in SH3 but i thought it was normal and not big issue ( very little kind of stutter when panning the view).

I then turned off this tweak in drivers and ran 3dmark201 again --> absolutely smooth, perfect.

Thinking about it, and with information given in link above, it make sense with game who don't like multi-threading at all. Or maybe i have an AMD X24400 with "dual-core optimizer" and this doesn't work well with the driver optimisation ..i don't know.

Anyway, anyone should give it a try ..
