Default Temporal AA

How do I enable temporal AA on my X1900XT?I just tick the box,but nothing actually happens.I'm afraid it's not working due to the driver bug or something I don't know about.Want to try 1024x768 with 12xAA,but no success so far.Any advices, please? Thanks a lot!

Just what does this type of AA do or look like anyway?

you'll prolly have to enable that in cat control center. i've not seen any setting for it in SH4.

Warhawk, "temoral AA doubles the effective anti aliasing image quality level, by alternating the sample pattern every other frame". by that i'm guessing that if set to 4x it'll behave like 8x

Ok, but I believe this will only work if you screen is refreshing at 100 Mhz or some high figure like this. Can a LCD refresh that quickly?

You'd probably get a better FPS by raising the resolution and lowering the AA a bit. 1024x768 isn't the best for a crisp image.

you'ld likely get better frames at 800*600, but it ain't gonna look any better and LCDs don't really refresh quite the same way as CRTs do but some, like mine, can do 1280*1024 16bit color and 100mhz, while the most it can do is 180mhz . LCDs have response time in miliseconds. my viewsonic VA902b is at 8ms which i think is the bare maximum. the slower it is, meaning higher number, the greater the chance of sceen tearing and other anomalies cuz the LCD can't handle what the grafix cards spits out

Now I'm actually playing the game in 1280x1024 with 6xFSAA enabled and it's good. But still want to try lower res and bigger FSAA to profit from Core2Duo CPU due to the fact, that in lower resolution performance is dependent on CPU,in higher ones on GPU,because when I set 1024x768 + 6xFSAA I get + 10-15 FPS,but the lines, wires and antennas are not so smooth like with 1280x1024 which is logical of course. That's why I'd like to try it.Framerate is good all the time except of coming back to Pearl - I have around 30,but sometimes it drops to 25fps,rest of the game even when I meet the large convoy is 40+.Anyway,I'm planning to go for 8800GTX in autumn probably. But thanks to all for opinions.
