To me this usually happens when the ship is just on the verge of visual detection and the watch crew loses and reaquires contact every couple of seconds. About the only sollution I have is to close fast within a distance where the watch crew won't lose contact again. You could also remove the watch crew from the tower, but of course then you won't have any contacts reported at all.

The only time when I saw this was when I used the assisted plotting mod, and the repeated reports were caused by this line in sensors.cfg:
Decay Time For Precise Sensor Contacts=0 ;[>0] seconds As the contact decays instantly, the crew reaquires the target over and over again. Actually, this is the precise reason why I stopped using the assisted plotting mod. |
