hey mowgli99,

Just wondering why you engaged a contact that sends out radar signals, since this could only be a warship. A warships that knows where you are.
:hmm:

just wait till lat '44 when the Reggia Aeronautica (Italian Airforce) goes over to the allies side. I was cruising along nicely last night when I got the radar singals detected message. As always went to flank then dived to around 30m. Heard the bombs dropping above me and then took sneak peak with the > key.

JU-88's bombing a German U-boat? Yep checked the markings and they were Italians. Traitorous buggers! Worse was to come because one of them must have spoken English cos an Australian River class fully equipped with hedgehogs and lots of DC's came looking for me.

Ping ping ping, boom crash lights out game over!

U745 lies at the bottom of the Med.

Yeah, during last night I was flanking a big convoy, most of it big cargo ships. I've sent 3 reports, overtaken the convoy and placed myself silently - the night was falling, perfect timing, smoke stacks were all over the place. When they were close I saw 2 airplanes making a circle over the convoy, like preparing to attack especially that I just received a reply from BdU. "yeah, Luftw..." oh crap, air escort... great.

The attack left me with 4 eels and one hit for 10k sunk :/

But I've seen Luftwaffe in action and even naval forces fighting so there is always hope!

I've noticed the Luftwaffe try and smack a few merchants I was stalking.
Ok so it's a crap shoot, I don't don't know what their skill levals are set to either. I like watching them attack a convoy, durring the Norway Ops the flak opens up on them, jazz like that.

I went towards the radar because i got a sound contact next to it saying it was a mercahnt. i was deeply submerged at the time. I always manage to get the merchant and escaped unharmed by the escort but this time
