Help, New trigger

Hi, i not long posted a thread about torpedos when i came up with another idea (sorry about the spam)

IDEA1:

New Trigger for torpedo

as the torpedo approaches the target at a depth of 25M (so quite far under the enemy ships keel) it explodes with a powerful explosion so more as to push the boat high out of the water - i know its not realistic but it would look so cool

is this possible ?/10

IDEA2:

Same as the 1st with the new trigger (but explosion not to an extreme but enough to crack the underside of the enemy ship (so as if to poke a giant hole at the bottom of the ship)

1 What do you mean? If it's the motion of the explosion on the target ship, then it is called "impulse". Impulse is easy to tweak in the MK* torpedo files.
2 The explosive power of each torpedo can be tweaked in the Torpedo_US files.

Hope it helps

no not that, i mean a way for the torpedo to detonate underneath the enemy ship at a depth lower than the target itself, so like this

------------------ <Keel of boat

<===- <torpedo

sorry about the confusion

in other words the torpedo doesnt actually hit its target, it more senses its under its target then detonates, dealing damage to the ship above it

It has this in the game via the magnetic exploder. Apparently it does not work so well.

I think in order to set it to 25m though...one would have to do some serious tweaking :p But why set it to that anyway, I don't see any advantage, if the torp is tweaked to "DOOMS DAY MACHINE" mode as jimbo128 wants, it wont matter if its set to 25 or 1m, the effect would be the same, total and utter annihilation. And maybe it would be a good idea to keep all these "DEATH STAR" ideas in one thread
Stuff gets scattered and then no one finds them.

heh thanks for that captaincox total and utter annihilation... but, i would like the torps to be not overly powerd but able to poke a hold in the underside of the ship so its not total annihilation its more gradual annihilation

Did you check out those links I posted in your other thread? I think one of those mods will do more or less what you are after. There is also a 25% more damage torpedo mod. Look in the

There isn't a way currently to do what your asking as the damage area would have to be greater than 25meters to create any damage - but if you go too large you cause damage across the whole ship - your depth setting on the torp would have to be perfect every time to get slow annihilation. There is a nuke torp mod out there though you might like.
