I think it's hard alcohol that people mess up their lives with. Everyone that I have seen that drinks beer or wine, even daily, and stays away from the hard stuff never seems to have any issues or life problems from it. I'm sure there are people out there who can't even handle of beer or glass of wine, but they are the raririty. But I have seen countless times where people become addicted to the hard stuff - I mean truely addicted. It destroys their life along with it.
Can't say I agree. There are a few people around here who seem to spend all day, every day, wandering around the city drunk. Almost without exception they drink beer or cider. I might once have seen one of them with a bottle of whiskey but it's usually several cans of Special Brew (which is 9%, but still weaker than most wines).

Getting back on topic, so Bush spilled some beer when he poured it...what's the big deal? I've done it, I've probably seen every single one of my friends do it, it's just that we've never done it on film.
That is why I said there is a few people that can't handle a glass of beer or wine in the paragraph that you referenced. I bet these bums also started on something harder and just can't afford the hard stuff anymore either.
