lose mods in update?

I would recommend removing all mods before patching. If you patch over a modified game the results may not be good.

If you have no easy way (jsgme) of removing the mods then I would recommend un-installing the game, re-installing and then patching.

After patching you can then start adding mods to suit your taste.

By the way you still have the free camera inside the sub with 1.2 but not outside. However you can still use the external camera.
