http://www.gcblue.com/files/install_...v_20070603.exe

- Added a check for 32 bit color. Game reverts to software rendering with 16 bit color

hope that resolves the speed problem at some systems, let me know what happens.

Dust, on the slow game performance issue. The only thing I found that might explain it is the color settings of the display. If I choose less than 32 bit color, I get the same problem here where no valid accelerated opengl mode is found. I'm going to add something to test the color settings and display a warning for the future.
Hmmm though when i look a the dxdiag file from netab, his display was set to 32 bits
i'm not sure. it's hard to debug anything without having access to the system. I just uploaded a version that has a check for 32 bit color. This might catch a few cases where people were using 16 bit color--though I didn't think anyone used 16 bit color much anymore
please let us know if the new release has still the same problems.

Hi Dust,
Firstly, thanks for your time in helping me and others get this game running - I'll enjoy it when it runs properly. In the meantime, I'll keep watching and I'm sure that the problem will be sorted in time. If I can provide any further information. please let me know. Anyway, it looks like a fantastic game and a credit to everyone who put it together.
regards
