Yep, turning of HT helps ... an alternative (dont know if thats possible) would be to assign Dw to one of the virtual cpus.

I would suggest you take a look over at the SCS Tech Forum and search for "Hyperthreading" and "Dual Core" ... that should yield some helpful results.

Cheers

Hm .. my crashes happens with dual core. Some people suffer 'time compression bug' with these, but I didn't, so I did not assign DW to single CPU yet. Maybe the crashes dates since my new notebook.

Will try assigning DW to single CPU. I don't play it much these days anyway.

somethin like: Windows have shut down to prevent hardware damage if this persists ........

I updated my direct X files and so far no more crashes(before all 3 consecutive attempts to play Qingdao scenario ended up in blue screen prompt, now tried the same scenario twice and having no problem to the mission's end). Maybe corrupted direct X files was causing the crashes?

Before tinkering with direct X files i tried Vsync by adding parameter line and turning off HT. Both didn't help sadly.

EDIT: Negative i still experience crashes. Now turning off HT and trying Vsync. Fingers crossed
