You wont get any renown for reaching or patroling grid as there arent any so the game doesnt recognise it
Same goes for the Black Sea You can however alter your basic cfg to adjust the renown for returning home to include the grid patrol amount Just so you dont lose out C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Cfg Open the basic cfg in notepad and look for [RENOWN] RenownReachGridObjCompleted=200 RenownPatrolGridObjCompleted=200 CompletedPatrol=100 < change to 500 and save NEUTRAL=-1 ALLIED=1 Make sure you are in port and SH3commander has been rolled back if you use it Oh and dont forget to change back when you leave the Indian Ocean or Black Sea |

As a matter of course, whenever I start a career my first patrol is, 'Start Patrol' & then 'Dock at...'. I don't even bother leaving the dock.
If you use SH3Cmdr, set your 'days in base' to 1 before doing this and you won't miss out on too much. ![]() ![]()
