I can't speak for the Army, I'm not sure what their pay is like. I hope they aren't getting shafted on their pay, those guys sacrifice just as much, if not a lot more than we did. |

You are right, base pay is the same, however there are a lot of extras that are thrown into the mix. For instance, I recieved Submarine pay as well as hazardous duty pay. A sub sailor who is in the nuclear engeneering field makes exta pay on top of that. Pilots recieve flight pay etc... I'm not sure what type of "extra pay" is available to the Army though (besides hazardous duty pay).
